(NEW) Part 3: From the Driver’s Seat - July 23, 2015
We’ll talk about a managerial view of the financial information in a winery. We’ll share insights on what an owner seeks when he or she reviews the financial results and how to spot problems. We’ll review daily, weekly and monthly reports, along with other tools for managerial insight. We will talk about the difference between “right” and “right now” when it comes to financial information and making timely decisions. You will leave this session knowing what financial information to review, what to delegate, and what information you can ignore.
We’ll share the rules behind all of those questions your accountant asks and explain why they should matter to you. We will cover concepts like cutoff, materiality, and the difference between book and tax. We’ll also help you see the numbers from a banker’s perspective and share insights on moving the needle in the right direction.
Leave this session with a clear understanding of how financial statements provide a true picture of your business results.
